Prescription Charges Explained

Are you physically able to get out without help from another person? Ask GP to complete an FP92A exemption form.
Are you on Benefits, Family tax credits, Low income? If you have to pay for prescriptions you can get a pre-payment form FP95 from your chemist. This is worthwhile if you get 2 or more items a month.

4 months pre-pay = £32.90

12 months pre-pay = £90.40

In most cases you are entitled to free prescriptions. You should have a smart card, which you should show at the chemists.
