Resource Centre

Multiple Sclerosis effects around 85,000 people in the UK. Back in the Autumn of 2001 we realized there was a real need for a Resource centre in Bradford to offer help and advice to all who need it.

We started looking for a suitable building in early 2001. We have looked at many properties but regret that we have not yet managed to find anything that offers the Society the facilities it is looking for. The most recent building that we looked at was in Tudor mills, Tudor Street. The building initially looked like it would offer us everything we were looking for , however upon closer inspection in turned out that the building wasn't sound and would of required many thousands of pounds spending on it to bring it up to current building regulations.

Due of the disapointment we have encountered over the past 3 years with building selection it has been decided to widen the search and we are now looking within a 5 mile radius of St Lukes hospital.

Idealy we are looking for:-

  • Single storey building within a 5 mile radius St Lukes Hospital.
  • Good wheelchair access
  • Good parking

We are still actively searching for premises and feel confident that 2004 will be a turning point for this project. All developements will be reported both on this page and to all members via the newsletter.
